Kelsey and Andy
Andy and Kelsey’s summer wedding at Jabulani Vineyard was a beautiful celebration set among the vines and warm August light. With soft blue details woven throughout the day and an outdoor ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family, their wedding felt relaxed, joyful, and effortlessly personal from beginning to end.
Their love of travelling and spending time outdoors shaped the feel of the day in such a natural way, especially after getting engaged during a hike overlooking the coastline in Croatia. They even included their dog Monty in a few moments throughout the celebration, which made the day feel even more true to them. From portraits among the vineyard rows to the energy of the evening reception under the pavilion, every part of the day reflected the excitement of bringing everyone together to celebrate this next chapter. It was one of those late-summer weddings where the landscape and atmosphere worked together beautifully to shape the feeling of the day.
One of my favourite parts of photographing Kelsey and Andy’s wedding at Jabulani Vineyard was how naturally the vineyard setting shaped the pace of the day. The ceremony space overlooking the vines created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for guests, and the rows of grapes nearby made such a beautiful backdrop for portraits without needing to travel between locations. Late-summer light across the property always photographs especially well here, which helped create portraits that felt warm and timeless while still reflecting the easygoing feel they had planned for their celebration.
Jabulani Vineyard is one of the most unique outdoor wedding venues in the Ottawa area, especially for couples who want a countryside setting without travelling far from the city. The vineyard rows, open ceremony views, and covered reception pavilion all work together to create a day that flows easily between events while keeping guests connected to the landscape throughout the celebration.
Some of my favourite moments from Kelsey and Andy’s wedding day included portraits together among the vineyard rows, the soft late-summer light across Jabulani Vineyard during the afternoon, and the moments they shared with their dog Monty throughout the celebration. These personal touches helped make the day feel especially relaxed and connected to who they are as a couple.
