A summer wedding for these high school sweethearts

Kristoffer and Kristopher’s National Arts Centre wedding in Ottawa was a celebration that reflected both their story and their personalities. The two first met online while living long distance — one in Toronto for school and the other finishing work in the Caribbean — and after months of talking every day, they already knew there was something special before they even met in person. When they finally met over the holidays, the rest quickly fell into place.

The National Arts Centre was their first choice from the beginning. Its modern architecture, connection to surrounding historic buildings, and views of downtown Ottawa made it the perfect setting for their fall celebration, and even more meaningfully, their ideal date was available when they reached out. One of the most memorable moments of the day was their first dance, when their maid-of-honour performed a live acoustic version of I Wanna Dance With Somebody, creating a quiet and personal moment at the heart of their celebration.
