This year, I had the chance to attend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Vancouver, and it was an experience I won’t forget. As someone who’s been a fan since Debut, seeing Taylor perform songs from each stage of her career was surreal. As a photographer from Ottawa, I couldn’t help but focus on the visual energy, creativity, and emotion of the night. It was more than a concert—it was a showcase of storytelling and artistry that inspired me both personally and professionally.

From the moment I arrived, the excitement in Vancouver was contagious. Fans were everywhere, dressed in outfits inspired by Taylor’s albums—from 1989 sequins to folklore cottagecore looks. The vibrant mix of colors and styles made the city feel alive and offered endless opportunities for candid photography.
At BC Place, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation. Fans lined up hours in advance, swapping friendship bracelets and sharing their excitement. The venue itself became a visual wonderland, with creative merch displays and glowing lights. I even treated myself to some merch (yes, I lined up for 4 hours to get the blue crew, and no, I have no regrets)—a little keepsake from an unforgettable night.

When the lights dimmed and the first notes of Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince filled the stadium, the crowd erupted. Taylor took the stage in a dazzling outfit, setting the tone for an evening of incredible performances. Each era of her career was brought to life with unique stage designs, costumes, and visuals that felt like their own mini-concerts.

One of the most memorable parts of the night was the community of Swifties. Trading friendship bracelets and sharing stories with fellow fans reminded me of the importance of connection, something I often aim to capture in my photography work. The stadium moment during All Too Well (10 Minute Version) was especially moving, as thousands of lights illuminated the space in perfect harmony—a collective moment of unity.
As a photographer, this shared joy reminded me of why I love capturing weddings and events back in Ottawa. Whether it’s a concert or a wedding day, those fleeting, authentic moments of connection are what make photography so powerful.

Leaving BC Place, I felt a mix of gratitude and inspiration. The Eras Tour was more than a performance; it was a masterclass in creativity and emotion. Taylor’s storytelling, both visually and musically, reignited my passion for capturing moments that matter.

As an Ottawa-based photographer, I’m passionate about documenting the energy and emotion of live events, whether it’s a concert, wedding, or special celebration. Let’s create something unforgettable together. If you’re planning an event or want to connect, feel free to reach out—I’d love to capture your story!
