Plaza Rive-Sud Wedding with Portraits in Old Montréal

Babak and Elahe’s Plaza Rive-Sud wedding began with a quiet and meaningful start in Montréal alongside their families before continuing into portraits through Old Montréal. The two first met while studying during university in Montréal, making it especially meaningful to begin their wedding day in the same city where their story started.

Elahe spent the morning getting ready with her mom and sister, while Babak got ready with his dad before they met for their first look at Place Gare Viger. Sharing that moment together before the rest of the day unfolded created space for them to slow down and take everything in before continuing into portraits through Old Montréal.

Old Montréal is one of the most recognizable portrait locations in the city, with cobblestone streets, historic stone architecture, and quiet corners that create a timeless setting for wedding photos. Beginning the day here allowed Babak and Elahe to include the character of Montréal in their wedding story before continuing their celebration later that evening at Plaza Rive-Sud.

With family travelling in from around the world to celebrate with them in Montréal, the day carried a strong sense of connection from beginning to end. Starting with a first look at Place Gare Viger and portraits through Old Montréal created a relaxed start to the day before everyone gathered together for their reception at Plaza Rive-Sud.

Plaza Rive-Sud is a popular reception venue just outside Montréal known for its elegant event spaces and waterfront setting. Moving from portraits in the historic heart of the city to an evening celebration at Plaza Rive-Sud allowed the day to reflect both their connection to Montréal and the opportunity to celebrate alongside the people who had travelled the farthest to be there with them.
